Hand block-printing is one of Jaipur's oldest textile crafts, dating back centuries to the artisan quarters around Bapu Bazar and Sanganer.
A single length of fabric passes through several hands before it becomes a garment: the block-printer stamps the pattern with hand-carved wooden blocks, a tailor cuts and stitches the panels, and a finisher checks every seam and hem for consistency.

Wash your block-print pieces gently in cold water, dry in shade to protect the colour, and iron on the reverse side to keep the print crisp.
